By using our site, you agree to the Policies below:
General Policy
- Product prices are subject to change without prior notification. All sale prices are final on the day of purchase. Any future price adjustments will not be applied to your original order.
- MakotoAutoTrends reserves the right to cancel your order at any time, for any reason. Cancelled orders that were already charged will be fully refunded.
- If complete order fulfillment is not possible, MakotoAutoTrends will ship the goods that are in stock, and will proceed with the refund for the back-order product. MakotoAutoTrends will notify you of product availability once the product is in stock again.
- All products are sold on "as is" basis with no warranty, except when expressly written on the product description.
- MakotoAutoTrends do not offer any warranty as to the legality of its products for street use on any vehicle or in any place. Many products are only intended for show purposes and are illegal for street use unless stated DOT/ SAE approved. You must verify with your local and state law about the legality of the product you intend to use. You assume all risk of liability related to the purchase of our product. MakotoAutoTrends will not be responsible for any legal issue arising from the usage of the products.
- All products should be professionally installed. MakotoAutoTrends does not offer any installation instructions and will not be responsible for any installation problems or any installation fees that stem from the installation of products sold on the website.
- Sales tax of 8.25% will be charged for all orders shipped within California. Tax exemption can only be applied to wholesale orders.
- Customs or brokerage fees, taxes or other duties related to international orders are the sole responsibility of the customer.
- The copyright of pictures, graphics and texts within this site are held by MakotoAutoTrends, and none of these materials should be reproduced without written consent from MakotoAutoTrends. Unauthorized use of these materials may result in criminal or civil penalties.
Return Policy
- Please check your order as soon as you receive it. Any reports of damage, shortage, or incorrect product shipment must be received within 72 business hours. Please keep all packing material for inspection.
- MakotoAutoTrends will not accept any returns after 10 business days of the item delivery.
- No returns will be accepted for products that have been installed or modified in any way. Hand-fit your product and test it for any manufacturer defect before any installation.
- All non-defective returns will be accepted only if the product is in brand new, resale condition and in its original packing material.
- Makoto Auto Trends does not issue cash refunds. All refunds will be issued in store credit. Exceptions to the policy include damaged, incorrect, or defective items, or if the return is due to a mistake on our behalf. A refund can only be issued when the item's condition is proven with pictures, labeling, or by a return inspection. MakotoAutoTrends may reimburse shipping charges or issue a pre-paid shipping label for a return in certain cases related to damaged, incorrect, defective items, or returns due to a mistake on our behalf.
- All returns and cancellations are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Shipping and handling fee is not refundable.
- The 20% restocking fee also applies to orders shipped out and refused by the customer or returned to MakotoAutoTrends because of incorrect address provided, problem with forwarding address, change of residence, or other reasons not including a mistake on our behalf. The shipping and handling fee is also not refundable in these cases. International customers will also be responsible to pay any customs or brokerage fees, taxes or duties related to this kind of return.
- Before returning any product, you must contact our customer service by email: customerservice@makotoautotrends.com or by phone: (626) 782-0388 to receive a return merchandise authorization number (RMA#) and return instructions. Packages returned to MakotoAutoTrends without the RMA# clearly written on the outside packaging will be refused, and all the costs associated with these returns are the sole responsibility of the customer.
- All eBay sales are final unless the product is defective, not as described, or damaged upon receipt.
BODY KITS NOTICE: Professional installation is required for all body kit items, including bumpers, bumper lips, side skirts, and hoods. If the body kit is defective and/or does not fit upon installation, MakotoAutoTrends requires the following to issue a return or exchange:

The body shop's license number and full contact information. Please include the address and phone number.

A letter printed with the body shop's letterhead that describes the problem with the installation in detail.
Body kit items cannot be returned or exchanged if the above criteria are not met.
Privacy Policy
MakotoAutoTrends is certified by Verisign, and we are committed to protecting your privacy.
All information submitted to us is private. We use the information we collect from you to process your order or to inform you of any special promotions. We will never solicit your information to any third-party companies. To ensure you will have the best shopping experience we provide the use of secure server (SSL) when you place your order.
All information is encrypted by the software before sending to us. Afterwards, all access to the information is limited and protected against unauthorized use. We guarantee your transaction is safe and secure.
Payment and Shipping Policy
We accept the following kind of payments from USA customers: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Paypal, BidPay, money orders, cashier's checks, and personal / company checks. To prevent Internet fraud we can only ship to the billing address of your credit card, the confirmed address of Paypal account, and the address included in the BidPay money order. If you need us to ship to a different address, then please send us a physical money order or check indicating the shipping address desired.
We accept the following kind of payments from international customers: American Express, BidPay and international money orders with clearing bank in the USA.
If you won an eBay auction from MakotoAutoTrends and wish to make a payment, you can go to our auction description page and use the checkout button, or you can also go to Auction Payment page to pay for your auction with credit card.
Please note that once you submit your credit card information, there will be a temporary hold on the funds in the amount of your order. If the transaction is approved, then your credit card will be charged. However, if the transaction is not approved, your credit card will not be charged, but there will be still the temporary hold on the funds, reducing your credit card buying limit. The hold amount will be the total of the order multiplied by the number of times you submitted the credit card information. The hold on the funds typically lasts for about a week and will be automatically lifted by your issuing credit card company.
Paypal payments should include your order or auction item number to ensure timely processing, and should be sent to: payment@makotoautotrends.com
Money order or check payments should include in legible letters: order or auction item number, email address, full name of the recipient, shipping address and telephone number.
All orders paid by personal / company checks or international money orders will be held for 2 weeks before we ship the product to you. Although the payment might clear before this time frame, we cannot make any exceptions due to the high volume of orders we receive.
For USA orders, most of the products are shipped via UPS ground service, but you will be able to select Express shipping for an additional cost (delivery within business days and for non-oversize items only). For addresses located at USA islands, territories, PO Boxes, or military bases, UPS will not be able to deliver, so other shipping carriers may be used instead. Also for oversize items, different carriers may be used as well.
For international orders, we will contact you about the shipping and handling rates. Orders will only be shipped after full payment is received and cleared.
Please allow us 3 business days (or up to 1 week for Premium Products) to process your order. When your order is shipped out, you will receive an email with the shipping information, such us shipping date, shipping company and tracking number (if available).
Sales tax of 8.25% will apply to all shipping addresses within California. If you are an eBay auction winner, remember to include the sales tax in your calculation.
All products we sell either on this site or on eBay are brand new. We don't have and will never sell used items. All products are sold as described and shown in the picture.
Please note that we cannot use customer's individual shipping accounts.
